Most of these pictures are of a wolf called Maya, I had the opportunity to hike with her in the wilderness, she was untethered and free to roam wherever she liked. Although she is used to walking with humans she is still as wild as a wolf can be. Proper behavior around her is a precondition. She is not trained, but raw meat keeps her quite close. Once, when I stood still, Maya even came closer than one metre from me. 

The other pictures are of Grey and Timber wolves, amazing animals, the top of their particular food chain apart from man, their only threat who just seems to want to kill wolves just because they exist.
